Creative theatre production
Theatre is an ideal way of working on languages and bringing them to life in real-life communication situations. In the example given, the aim is to work on the fable ‘The city rat and the country rat’ (in a simple, modern theatrical version) and to identify the moments in the story where a dialogue in several languages could make sense: arriving at the station, meeting people in a hurry in town, eating in a restaurant, etc. The dialogues created by the pupils bring to life the multilingualism that surrounds us in everyday life.
