About us
“Education Unlimited e.V.” (abbreviated to EdU) is a non-profit in Stuttgart, Germany, and was founded there in 2013. Central to the association’s mission is the belief that education is one of the most important and sustainable assets on our way to a peaceful, democratic and tolerant world of tomorrow. To this end, EdU promotes international and cultural exchanges as well as cross-border dialog between young Europeans.
Activities mainly take place in Germany, the countries of the EU and the Western Balkans, with a special focus on Kosovo. In September 2022 in Southern Kosovo (Prizren), the association organized a week-long summer camp with 83 young people from Germany, France, North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo.
The international gathering was opened by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti. The meeting centred around five workshops dealing with current socio-political topics such as sustainability (environmental and climate protection), gender equality and the future of the European Union.
EdU is committed to the idea of a peaceful and united Europe and supports young Europeans as they develop into independent, cosmopolitan, tolerant, democratically minded and motivated personalities with a strong sense of responsibility. With help of its diverse networks and intensive contacts, EdU organizes visits to the European Parliament for young people and conducts study trips to Brussels. Another large summer camp is planned for September 2024.
EdU is an active partner in the Erasmus+ project “Sprache Macht Europa”, and cooperates, in particular, in school development (focus: multilingualism). The project involves three universities and three schools from three countries, along with an associated partner in Kosovo. EdU focuses on developing and maintaining the digital platform “Lingua Creativa”, which serves as a network of creative exchange.
